Good Food Conference 2020 Cancelled due to Covid; 2021 Under Consideration
For the past two years, the Good Food Conference has been the world’s leading event focused on accelerating the marketplace for plant-based and cultivated meat. Our 2019 event built upon the success of our inaugural event and grew to include more than 900 scientists, entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, and corporate leaders from 34 countries. The sold-out event featured 50 world-class speakers and moderators from the New York Times, BBC, Wired, and the Wall Street Journal. The National Journal described the conference as “the most upbeat, joyful, and youthful American agriculture gathering in years.”
It was incredible to have that many alternative protein thought leaders, movers, and makers in-person and in one place. Yet today, and into the foreseeable future, we recognize that there is real concern, uncertainty, and continued risk when getting groups of people together. As an organization aimed at mitigating global health risks, we feel a responsibility to do our part to keep our team and our good food community safe. We are closely monitoring the evolving situation to inform our overall event strategy for the rest of this year and into 2021.
While we can’t be together in the same space this year, we have gathered several resources that GFI can offer the alternative protein sector during the pandemic. Dig into those here. This is an unprecedented situation and GFI remains committed to hosting compelling events and working alongside the companies, organizations, and individuals who are building a better food system.
Thank you for your support and take care.
