Sahra Pak, MS, RD
Sahra Pak, MS, RD, is a Registered Dietitian with a focus on public health and plant-based nutrition.
Sahra has a diverse background from managing restaurants, teaching, event coordinating, and has also spent several years on a small farm in Australia where she learned the value of animal welfare and the power of nature first hand.
She is an advocate for improving the food system that increases access and affordability of health promoting and sustainable foods through policy, systems, and environmental change. Through her work in public health, Sahra has increased healthier options in supermarkets and convenience stores by amending nutrition standards, successfully working with suppliers, and negotiating sustainable and impactful changes that led to positive outcomes for all concerned. In addition, Sahra currently works with institutions, schools, community coalitions, and local farmers, to increase environmentally sustainable and healthy changes such as plant-based meal options by improving food procurement practices that minimize climate change impact while preventing diet-related chronic diseases to those they serve. Sahra is also involved with the Center for Social Inclusion where she works with various stakeholders to change oppressive policies and systems to achieve racial equity for the advancement of all races.
